It will be another repeat of the 1999 Champions League final when Bayern Munich were booted out by Manchester United with late goals from substitutes Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjae.

Manutd have only managed to win once in their last seven meetings with Bayern in the Champions League and their last time meeting was in the 2001/02 champions League group stage when they drew 1-1 in Germany and 0-0 at Old Trafford.

Recently,  Manchester United have won their last seven games, in all competitions, and they may feature Wayne Rooney who was rested on Saturday’s game against Bolton Wanderers in Premier League Clash due to knee problem. Danny Wellbeck ,Wes Brown, Michael Owen, Anderson, , Ritchie de Laet and John O’Shea may all miss.

The Germans are on position two in Bundasliga two points behind Shalke 4 having played  28 games each and in-form Arjen Robben set to miss due to calf strain he picked last Saturday but Frank Ribbery  may feature.

Arjen Robben, Munich striker: “This Manchester United team is not invincible. "If the press want to see them as favourites then that suits us because all the pressure will be on them,” said Robben.

"I have watched them on television many times recently and their team is certainly not as powerful as it was in the last two years."

Sir Alex Ferguson, United Manager: "The history of Bayern and our games against them in past European ties tells you it is going to be a very difficult game," said Ferguson.

"It will be a fantastic atmosphere, in a great stadium, with a good pitch.

"They are an experienced team, but hopefully we get everyone we need fit and we will have a good chance."
