Paul ScholesManchester United moved on top of the Premier League after Paul Schole’s second-half strike made the defending Champions to claim a famous 1-0 victory over Wolveshampton at Molineux on Saturday evening.

Without injured Wayne Rooney, Manutd were underperformed for the majority of the match and allowed Wolves to dominate almost the full 90 minutes but failed to convert possessions into goals.

Sam Vokes would have equalized in the added time when he got the ball inside the penalty area but failed to beat the 36 year-old Van de Ser as he directed his shot over the crossbar.

Arsenal also produced another classic performance as they utilized host chances to beat Burnley 3-1 at Emirates Stadium to level the points with Chelsea who have game in hand.

Gunners took a lead in the 34th minute through Cesc Fabregas who took another hamstring injury before David Nugent equalized in the 50th minute.

Theo Walcot added the second in the 60th minute after he took a pass Nicklas Bendter who failed to make a hat-trick to put the Gunners in control.

Arshavin burned the visitors in injury time with nice strikes to keep Wenger’s title hopes alive.

Chelsea were playing Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in FA Cup quarterfinals the game they won 2-0 to go through into semifinals and are expected to play Aston Villa.

Manchester United have now 63 points while Chelsea and Arsenal are sharing 61 points each on second position.
