After disappointing defeat in the hands of Pompey last weekend in FA Cup semifinal match, Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch says he was frustrated and believes his team will do as much as possible to win Wednesday’s English Premier League game against Arsenal.
Tottenham were beaten 2-0 by relegated Portsmouth and former Liverpool star says they don’t want to be down in the bumps.
"It was an extremely disappointed dressing room at Wembley after the game on Sunday because we knew we had a good chance to get to the final,” he told club’s official site.
"But we're professional people and we have to make sure we put it behind us and get up for Arsenal.
"We were allowed to be disappointed on Sunday night, but now we're back in training and looking forward to Wednesday.
"We don't want to be down in the dumps and let our season just flitter away. We have to make sure we're up for it."
We go into the Arsenal game with a few bumps and bruises after Sunday's exertions, but ‘Crouchy' believes this should not play a part in the derby.
He added: "We've got a few injuries but our squad's big enough to cope. We've players with enough ability to come in and freshen things up. That can't be used as an excuse either."
