World record signing Cristiano Ronaldo ,full-back Sergio Ramos and Dutch star Rafael Van dar Vaart  helped Real Madrid coming from behind to beat Sevilla 3-2 and  replace Barca at the top spot in La Liga.

Ten man Barcelona were held 2-2 by Almeria at Bernabeu to give the Real Madrid the lead on goal difference.

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso scored an own goal and Ivica Dragutinovic added the second through a free-kick that left Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas to catch the air.

But former Manchester United starlet did not want to leave his team suffering but did his best to score the first goal to make it 2-1 before Spain’s star Ramos added the second.

As the time was running out, Rafael Van Der Vaart added the third from close range to completely burn the visitors.

Earlier, Barcelona failed to capitalize chances of   hosts as striker Zlatan Ibrihimovic was shown a red card and their coach, Pep Guadiora  was sent to the stands.

Fernando Soriano’s 12 minutes corner met Domingo Cisma who headed the ball past Victor Valdes.       

Ibrahimovic was fouled in the 42^nd minute near the penalty area and Lionel Messi produced a good shot through a free-kick into the corner of the net past Almeria goalkeeper, Diego Alves .

Carlos Puyol scored an own goal in the 57^th minute through Guilherme cross before Ibrahimovic was sent off after he made a reckless tackle.

Few minutes later, Messi would have equalized from the same range he scored at first but the shot just went off the target.

The Argentinean was a hero of the day after he equalized in late minutes through Pedro’s cross after Guilherherme’s poor header went to the feet of the starlet who netted home to make it 2-2.

Real Madrid level the points with Barcelona but have added advantage of superior goal difference.
