Arsenal defender, Thomas Vermaelen has said his team will try as much as possible to win a Premier League medal for Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international midfielder broke his leg in two places against Stoke on Saturday after a reckless tackle by Shawcross -the injury which is going to take him almost a full year of recovering.
However medical experts say that the 19 year-old Arsenal star will make a quick recovery.
But Belgian international defender, Vermaelen said the Gunners will continue to play the way they can to win the league as that will also do well for Araon Ramsey.
"I saw the tackle and I heard a strange noise," he was quoted in Sky Sports on Ramsey's horrendous injury.
"Afterwards, I saw his ankle. It was not nice to see, especially when it's a team-mate.
"We have to win every game now and we will do that and will do it as well for Aaron."
The teenager faced a surgery and Arsenal’s team doctor Mark Ridgewell confirmed that the operation was successful.
"Aaron's surgery has been a success, he has now returned to London and will be in hospital there for a couple of days," said doctor Mark Ridgewell.
"It looks like things have gone well so far. We have not been told of any immediate complications, they were two clean breaks and there have been no other problems."
Other Arsenal players, Abou Diaby and Eduardo Da Silva had also suffered horrific injuries in three years the thing that Arsene Wenger describe as ridiculous.
Arsenal are on third place in Premier League table, three points behind leaders Chelsea and two points behind Carling Cup 2009-2010 winners, Manchester United.
