The England international striker, Wayne Rooney has been marvelous player in English Premier League and Champions League this season.

He has rescued Manchester United in do or die games and the most important win being 3-2 victory over AC Milan at San Siro in first leg of Champions League last-16 tie when he netted two goals.

The England star brought another sunshine at Old Trafford on Wednesday last week when he netted twice in Manutd's 4-0 victory over AC Milan in second leg of Champions League last-16.

On Sunday Rooney finished his week with his unforgettable two goals he grabbed at Old Trafford when his club claimed 3-0 victory over Fulham in English Premier League clash to register his goals to 32 this season.

Arriving at Old Trafford from Everton in August 2004, Rooney have already made 276 appearances scoring 129 goals.

His successful moments are when he scored a famous bicycle free-kick when he was at Everton at the age of 9 before opening his score board at Old Trafford with a fantastic hat-trick against Fernabahce in September 2004.

He became the World's most expensive teenager earlier after he arrived from Toffees on August 31, 2004.

Many football lovers in Africa expects Rooney to be a player to watch at on-coming 2010 World Cup in South Africa which is scheduled to start on June 11 this year.
